POLLINATING EU – Side Event at Apimondia 2025

Copenhagen, Denmark
22 Sep 2025

On 22 September, the day before the official opening of the 49th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress, the initiative Pollinating EU will host a special side event at the Danish Parliament, a high-level conference focused on the future of bees, pollinators, and sustainable agriculture in Europe, within the framework of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Organised by PollinERA partner institution BeeLife and the Danish Beekeepers Association, in cooperation with Members of Parliament Zenia Stampe and Sigrid Friis, the event will bring together scientists, policymakers, NGOs, and practitioners to discuss how to shape a pollinator-friendly Europe. Set against the backdrop of global ecological decline, the conference will focus on solutions, embedding pollinators and beekeepers within the Common Agricultural Policy, pesticide regulation, and the EU Nature Restoration Law. The event is supported by the EU projects B-THENET, PollinERA, and Butterfly.
