In February 2025, Dutch news platform NU.nl published an article about the AGRI4POL project, based on interviews with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) representatives ecologist Thijs Fijen and research associate Andries Temme.
In the article, Fijen and Temme discuss the ongoing four-year research effort involving WUR and twelve other European partners to counter insect decline by developing agricultural crops that are more attractive to pollinators.
Fijen and Temme are respectively involved in AGRI4POL work package (WP) 3: Management options to enhance pollinator benefits on farms and WP2: Genetics of crop floral traits governing pollinator attraction: future pollinator-smart crops.
