Entomology 2025 opens new horizons for communicating and disseminating AGRI4POL to global audiences

25 November 2025

Between 9 and 12 November 2025, AGRI4POL project partner Pensoft Publishers attended the Entomological Society of America’s (ESA) annual meeting, Entomology 2025, in Portland, Oregon, USA, as part of the conference’s exhibition. Pensoft Publishers has presented the AGRI4POL and VALOR projects and their joint focus on pollinators. Through the sharing of AGRI4POL project materials (e.g. project brochure, QR links to online communication tools), professional scientific illustrations, and various results derived from EU-funded projects on pollinators, the Pensoft booth generated a lot of interest and attention, which allowed attendees to stay in touch with the project’s latest developments. The ESA event welcomed more than 3,200 guests who were eager to learn about the EU-level developments around managing and protecting pollinators and their values.

Overall, Entomology 2025 participants were eager to learn about AGRI4POL’s goals, in particular about its evaluation of how current policies affect the uptake of pollinator-friendly farming. Many experts subscribed to the AGRI4POL bi-annual newsletter, and there were several inquiries about open job vacancies within the project - something that the dissemination team will start including in the bi-annual newsletters.

Despite not being among AGRI4POL’s main target events for dissemination, Entomology 2025 proved to be a unique opportunity to reach a new audience beyond Europe and ultimately disseminate AGRI4POL findings worldwide.
