AGRI4POL to host stakeholder workshop in September on pollinator-friendly farming

27 August 2025

On 9-10 September 2025, Brussels will host the AGRI4POL stakeholder workshop on pollinator-friendly farming towards a sustainable future of agriculture. The two-day event will bring together policy makers, NGOs, agri-business, farmer organisations, researchers and agricultural advisers.

The workshop’s main aim is to identify both the co-benefits and trade-offs of pollinator-friendly farming. By examining the social, economic, agronomic and environmental dimensions, participants will co-develop actionable strategies and a common framework that can guide EU-level stakeholders in promoting practices that support pollinators while ensuring resilient, long-term sustainability in agriculture.

Moderated by Estelle Balian, the sessions will combine presentations from AGRI4POL speakers, including the project coordinator Adam Vanbergen (INRAE), Henning Nottebrock (UFR), Simona Zverinova (CzechGlobe), Tereza Prasilova (CzechGlobe) and Tanja Sumrada (UL), with interactive exchanges designed to maximise participant engagement. The co-design format reflects AGRI4POL’s multi-actor approach, which seeks to integrate diverse perspectives in shaping effective, evidence-based pathways for sustainable farming.
